  Questions Regarding Downloads

When I click on one of your files, how come it has a .x extention on it?
This is because when we upload to geocities, we want our files to stay on their servers as long as possible before they delete it (they don't want their servers used for mp3 storage space), so naming our files .mp3 when we upload them would just be asking for them to delete our stuff. When you download a file, be sure to rename the .x extention to .mp3 for your mp3 file to play correctly.

When I click on one of your files, how come it has a .pdf extention on it?
Once again, this is just yet another file extention we use to store our files as "hidden" as possible. Be sure to right click and select "Save Target As..." whenever you try and download a file marked with an asterisk ( * ), otherwise your file will not download correctly. Just like the .x extention, rename the .pdf part to .mp3 and you will be all set.

How come whenever I try to resume my trunkated geocities downloads, it doesn't let me?
For some reason, geocities does not allow resuming. Obviously, if you are trying to resume a file you are using GetRight or Go!Zilla. Here's a little trick I learned from a website...
     1) Go into the GetRight Configuration, and then go to the proxy tab
     2) From here, you will need to add this proxy: www.lpwa.com port: 8000

      1) Go into the options menu for Go!Zilla
      2) Once at the options menu, add this proxy: www.lpwa.com port: 8000

I try to download one of your files, but I keep getting a "404 Page Not Found" Error, what is this?
This simply means that either the geocities or fortunecity servers cannot find the file that you are trying to download. In other words, you have found a broken link. If you find a broken link, email it to brokenlinks@ill-mp3s.net and it would be greatly appreciated.

How can I check if I have downloaded the complete file from your site?
Heres something you can do to check to see if you have completely downloaded a song from our website. Go into Winamp, and press "Alt + 3". This should bring up the ID3 tag editor. If you have downloaded the song completely, in the comments field it should say "http://www.ill-mp3s.com" or "http://bounce.to/illmp3s" .

Questions Regarding How Our Site Looks

Why is it that everything looks wierd when I look at your site on a mac?
This site was designed mainly for IBM users with IE 5.0 and above. Also, it is recommended that you have your screen resolution set to at least 1024x768 to view our site correctly. Basically, if your trying to view the page in netscape, don't complain. Internet Explorer is much better.

A lot of things look out of place on your site, why is this?
Well, one cause of this could be your screen resoltion. I have designed this site to work with 800x600 screen resolution, but I recomment at least 1024x768. The tables in this site are all designed to fit in a percentage of the window size, and if the window is small already to start with, then that is why things look all messed up!

There is something at the top of your site that isn't loading in my browser, why?
The menu for our website is made for IE 4.0 at least, it is not designed to run in netscape. To tell you the truth I haven't even tested this site in netscape yet. Yet another project for me to do...
